Kyle Sackett

Dr. Kyle Sackett is the vocal music teacher at Webster Thomas High School. A native of Webster, NY, Kyle has experienced an extensive career as a singer, vocal teacher, conductor, and director in a variety of musical styles. He is a 3-time Grammy nominee for his recordings with the new-music choir The Crossing, and has performed and recorded with several other ensembles in New York, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, D.C., and Montana. Prior to teaching at Thomas, he was a professor of music theater voice at Roosevelt University in Chicago. He holds a doctorate in Vocal Performance and a minor in Choral Conducting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Masters in Music from Northwestern University, and a Bachelors in Music Education from SUNY Fredonia. His passion for music, performance, and theater arts is centered on the belief that these art forms are a vehicle for personal growth and community building. When not teaching, Dr. Sackett loves cooking for his family, and dreaming about a Buffalo Bills Super Bowl victory.
