“At first I wasn't sure what to expect from a performance camp that was squeezing so many working parts into such a short period of time. My mind was blown come performance night(s). These campers poured out their hearts and souls into their parts and became such a tight knit group. The amount of coaching, kindness and support the directors gave the campers I have never seen in previous theater programs. The directors want to be there daily and are front and center encouraging and cheering on the campers. You will not find a more devoted group of directors or a more excited group of kids who want to get up early in the summer and go to theater camp! BRAVO to all involved.”

The energy was positive between both students and directors and it provided a place to try new things, collaborate, and exercise creativity. While the directors helped steer the rehearsals, students were encouraged to share their ideas and truly make it their own. Friendships and memories were made during the summer months when middle schoolers crave spending time with their peers and it was in a safe and creatively challenging environment. “I used to be able to confidently say that my first summer at Webster Theater for Youth was the record holder of ‘The Best Summer Ever.’ However the approaching summer looks like it's threatening that title. This program was my first musical and I felt instantly at home! The directors and student directors made any first day nerves disappear. I think this was the first time in my life I wasn't looking forward to the weekend. I have come out of it a more confident performer, singer and dancer. I highly recommend this experience to beginners and theater veterans alike. I can't wait to come back next year!”
